Aubusson rugs, also known as flat-woven French rugs and tapestries, are among the most widely recognized rugs today. Originally made for the nobility and the wealthy, these ambitious floor coverings were woven in the villages of Aubusson and Felletin in central France.
Aubusson rugs hold a special place in our hearts because they were one of the first product lines we specialized in. Looking back, our goal was simple: we sought to reproduce the same weaving technique, style, texture, and quality that was once celebrated.
We aspired to make rugs that was once decorated by nobility affordable and accessible to the general public, hoping that more people could appreciate and enjoy the splendor of a decorative Aubusson rug.
We have since taken a step further by introducing our own novel interpretations of these classic designs. You can find them in our Aubusson Reimagined line and in our Contemporary Flat Weave Aubusson line, available in both standard and custom sizes.
